Over the Edge fundraiser for Coffee Memorial Blood Center

Amarillo residents are going "Over the Edge" to help the Coffee Memorial Blood Center.

Several people, including NewsChannel 10's Allan Gwyn, went over the edge of the ten story Eagle Center building at 8th and Tyler in downtown Amarillo.

The event is a fundraiser for the Coffee Memorial Blood Center.

Blood Center officials say one of the main challenges is the every-day demand for the organization's bloodmobile, and they hope to raise enough money to buy an additional one.

The event runs through Thursday, August 1st from 9am-5pm in downtown Amarillo at the Eagle Center on 8th & Tyler.
