Guilty verdict in Randall County murder trial

Posted: Updated:

Canyon, Texas - A guilty verdict has been reached in Randall County for a man on trial for killing a Canyon teenager who's body has never been found.

Mario Campos faced capitol murder charges in connection with the disappearance of 17 year-old Fred Mosley in 1998.

Since the Randall County District Attorney was not seeking the death penalty in this case, he was sentenced today to life in prison.

Campos will be eligible for parole after 40 years. Co-defendant Gerald Dooley entered a plea bargain for a suggested 10 year sentence for his testimony.
