Happy State Bank alerts customers about possible phone scam

Happy State Bank in Amarillo is alerting its customers about a possible phone scam going around.

The bank released information that stated area customers have reported receiving automated calls that their debit cars had been blocked. Then they're asked to reset their cards by pressing "one" and entering their 16 digit debit card number.

The bank says this is a scam. The release said the bank will never call customers asking for a debit card number.

If you have given out your number during one of these fraudulent calls, you're asked to call 1-866-958-2867 to block your card.
