Special session begins today in the Texas legislature

Posted: Updated:

Texas - The second special session will begin in the Texas legislature Monday.

The last session was derailed on its last day by a filibuster from State Senator Wendy Davis.

She was fighting a proposed law that would likely force most Texas abortion clinics to close.

Republicans are expected to bring that bill in first.

They are also expected to take others measures to keep the bill from being stopped again.

More state troopers will be present today to throw out unruly protestors.
