Breast cancer screenings

From The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center:


The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) at
Amarillo's Breast Center For Excellence will conduct breast cancer
education and outreach events throughout the Texas Panhandle this month.
Women will be screened to determine their eligibility for a no cost
mammogram funded through a Cancer Prevention and Research Institute
of Texas grant.


3 to 5 p.m. Friday (June 14) United Supermarket, 1601 Tennessee, Dalhart
3 to 5 p.m. Saturday (June 15) United Supermarket, 1501 Amarillo
Blvd. East, Amarillo
4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (June 19) United Supermarket, 4701 S.
Washington St., Amarillo
4 to 6 p.m. Monday (June 24) United Supermarket, 5601 Amarillo
Boulevard West at Gem Lake Rd., Amarillo


As part of the Access to Breast Care For West Texas (ABC4WT), the
Breast Center For Excellence is partnering with United Supermarkets and
the Amarillo Area Breast Health Coalition's WISE Women to provide
these breast cancer screenings.
To be eligible for a mammogram, women must be Texas residents and
provide proof of address, must be uninsured, have a valid photo ID and
provide income verification or proof of assistance.
