Clovis crime report cites increase in breaking and entering cases

Posted: Updated:

We have an alert from Clovis police, which is lock your doors and don't leave valuables in your car.

The city's crime report says they've been dealing with 49 calls for breaking and entering in the last 2 weeks. 24 of those calls were auto burglaries.

Clovis police are attributing the break-ins to the longer and warmer days, as well as people leaving their doors unlocked and things in plain view in their cars.

So far, the department has made a couple of arrests in the cases.
