New jockey club works to bring horse racing to Amarillo

Every year, the "greatest two minutes in sports" brings out thousands of horse racing fans.

Not to be left out, a new jockey club in Amarillo is working to bring some of those races to Amarillo.

Saturday, hundreds of horse race fanatics packed the Saddle Brook Jockey Club in Amarillo to watch the Kentucky Derby.

The club simulcasts races like the derby on their many big screens so folks here can watch and wager themselves.

Although Saturday's races may be over, organizers say it's only one of many opportunities local fans have to watch races.
