Tulsa Dental Developments

Posted: Updated:

New developments in the Tulsa dental case are showing more people are testing positive for infectious diseases.

This comes after an Oklahoma dentist was accused of using unsanitary equipment on patients.

Since then, 57 patients have tested positive for hepatitis C, three for hepatitis B and at least one for H-I-V.

Local dentists tell us they follow strict guidelines to protect their patients. Tool are sanitized in an autoclave machine, work stations are wiped down between each patient and everything that is touched during an appointment is either replaced or properly cleaned before the next patient comes.

Local dentists also told us, patients are encouraged to ask about sanitary guidelines and procedures if they have any questions or concerns.
