Amarillo man killed in fiery motorcycle wreck

One man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into the front of an pickup truck, sending both vehicle up in flames.

It happened around five o'clock Saturday afternoon on the overpass near Amarillo Blvd. and Ross Street. Early reports from Amarillo police indicate the man driving the motorcycle swerved into oncoming traffic. That's when he collided with the pickup, causing them both to burst into flames.

The man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene. It's unclear how many people were riding in the pickup, but officials say two people were sent to the hospital with seemingly minor injuries.
