High winds sparked several small grass fires

Amarillo, TX - Wednesday morning's high winds sparked several small grass fires just north of Amarillo.

They were put out quickly before they could spread very far.

Thanks to the help of a passing motorist in one case and the Potter County and Amarillo Fire Departments, who mopped up the areas.

Winds are expected to die down by Wednesday afternoon.
