Prank call puts an area Walmart on high alert

Amarillo TX - A prank call put an area supermarket on high alert.

Amarillo police tell us they were called out to the Walmart at 5730 West Amarillo Boulevard Sunday night.

Store managers say they received a bomb threat, so as a standard procedure everyone inside the store was evacuated immediately.

Officers tell us nothing turned up during their investigation and say the call was a prank.

No one was injured and the store re-opened around 11:00 Sunday night.
