If bookings are ahead of the curve, the price grows more quickly. If the converse is true, prices glow slower, stay flat or even drop.
Faber is quick to point out, however, that the early booker is still at an advantage. Most of the contemporary – or mainstream – lines reward the early buyer with fares that are guaranteed to be the lowest available and to remain so nearly all the way up to the date of departure. If a lower fare does become available, the cruise line will adjust the early purchaser?s fare to match.
