Amarillo - Before heading out we want to update you on road conditions.
The Amarillo Police Department tells us between 6:00 am and 11:30 am on Tuesday they've responded to 41 traffic accidents in town.
No life-threatening injuries have been reported.
Several of those wrecks happened along I40, east of downtown.
Tuesday morning I40 eastbound was blocked at the 287 split.
Authorities say a jack-knife truck was on top of the bridge blocking all eastbound lanes.
That area has since been cleared.
Visibility on I40 has improved but slush remains on the roadway.
Several cars have veered off the road and into ditches.
If you need to head out, TxDOT and APD are warning drivers to slow down and be very cautious.
