Area man pleads guilty to mailing a threatening letter to Lubbock judge

Amarillo, Texas - An Amarillo man pleads guilty to mailing a threatening letter to a Lubbock federal judge.

Larry Boyd Wren II made the plea Thursday in an Amarillo federal court.

A Justice Department statement says Wren wrote the letter objecting to his confinement, and making threatening comments to the judge.

No sentencing date has been set, but he could face up to 10 years in federal prison and a 250 thousand dollar fine.
