Ryan Leaf moved to state prison

Amarillo, TX - Former NFL quarterback and WT coach, Ryan Leaf, has been moved from a Montana drug treatment center back to prison.

An official with the Nexus Treatment Center reported Ryan Leaf has been terminated from the program.

Leaf reportedly violated the conditions of the placement by threatening a staff member and other behavioral problems.

In May of 2009, leaf was charged in Randall County with breaking into two houses and stealing prescription pain killers.

He pleaded guilty in 2010 to burglary and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

In June of 2011 he was sentenced to five years behind bars; but with a recommendation that he spend the first nine months in a locked drug treatment facility.

Leaf also faces the revocation of a 10 year probationary sentence.
