Lefors homicide investigation

Lefors, TX - Two men are in custody after police find the body of a woman in a Lefors residence.

Gray County deputies found 42-year old Kristi Slatten dead Tuesday afternoon following a 911 call.

Deputies found evidence of foul play and determined the victim's car was missing.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle two miles west of Panhandle.

The driver, Joshua Keith Rigo of Amarillo was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Steve Preston Dean was also arrested on unrelated charges.

No charges have been filed in connection with the woman's death, but the investigation continues.

    An early morning structure fire is under investigation. Officials say around 4:20 this morning, a fire sparked in a building in the area of 8th and Adams.
