An Amarillo jewelry store looks out for the community

Posted: Updated:

Amarillo, Texas - A local jewelry store will be refunding some customers, and all because of a white Christmas.

If you bought jewelry from McFarlin's between November 1st and December 18th, and agreed to participate in the promotion, you will be laughing all the way to the bank.

In order to win the promo, it had to have snowed one inch or more in Amarillo on Christmas day, and as Doppler Dave predicted, it definitely did.

Tresa McFarlin tells us a lot of the community took part in "pray for snow" and she's excited and ready to start writing checks.

Tresa McFarlin says, "the smallest refund will be 20 dollars and the largest refund will be 10 thousand dollars. We sold a lot of engagement rings in the 3 thousand to 8 thousand dollar range. We're going to have even happier engaged couples."

She says once they get the go ahead from the insurance company, customers will start receiving their refund.
