Amarillo, Texas - It's the last weekend before Christmas, and last minute shoppers are out in full force. We were near Westgate Mall to see how holiday traffic is shaping up.
The Amarillo Police Department says traffic is always at very busy this time of year.
They say rear end accidents have been common this year. Be sure to leave plenty of space between you and the car in front of you. fifty seven incident reports were filed between December 14th and 16th.
It is suggested you leave early to give yourself more time to battle the traffic out in shopping areas. APD says the traffic will probably be worse than you expect.
