Perryton, Texas - A man is behind bars for allegedly making deadly threats in Perryton.

30 year old Dustin Mack is in police custody.

Chief of Police Tony Hill says a woman claims her son was making threats on Tuesday saying what he could do would make the tragedy in Connecticut look small.

The PISD Superintendent says the suspect was still on the loose when they found out about the threats, so they went over safety plans and strategies for all the campuses.

After the suspect was caught the administration decided to have school Wednesday.

Police are investigating not only a motive, but to see if the suspect was prepared to carry out the threats.

Chief Hills says they Dustin Mack is no stranger.

Hill says, "we knew Dustin Mack prior to this day our department has arrested him in the past he has been arrested here in Ochiltree county on more than one occasion so his name is not new to us."

A terroristic threat is a 3rd degree felony, and if found guilty Mack could face up to 10 years in prison.
