Potter County Constable Precinct 4

The only constable race is in Potter County, Precinct 4.

Republican Juan Gonzales is running against democrat Idella Thomas-Jackson for Potter County Constable, Precinct 4.

Gonzales owns and operates Gonzales Investigations here in Amarillo and holds a police commission with a municipality.

Thomas-Jackson is a peace officer with the state of Texas and has an associates degree in Criminal Justice Law Enforcement.

Thomas-Jackson is leading the race. She is coming in with 1,268 votes for 57-percent.

Gonzales is in with 933 votes for 42-percent.

As of 10 pm there are still three precincts left to report.

Neither Gonzales or Thomas-Jackson have previously held a constable position.
