A man walked in through the front doors of First Bank Southwest near 34th and Bell around 12:30 p.m.
Amarillo Police say he pointed his handgun at the teller forcing her to give him cash. He ran away with an undetermined amount of money in a red gym bag.
There were no customers but the teller in the bank at the time of robbery. No one was injured.
Witnesses say they saw the man going toward the East side of the bank, getting in a white pick-up truck, and escaping through an alley on Atkinsen street.
Police say this man is 5 feet 9 inches tall and was wearing a white mask, gloves, blue hooded jacket, and jeans.
The FBI and Amarillo Police are currently investigating the case.
This First Bank branch closed for business Monday after the robbery but will reopen tomorrow.
