Thanks for stopping by our KFDA Web site to meet our team! Growing up in West Texas I was always passionate about journalism and being part of an active news team. After being a stay at home mom for 12 years, I decided to make my dream a reality.
After an internship, I started my career in 2007 as the Healthwise producer at KCBD in Lubbock, Texas. I quickly found myself in Amarillo as an anchor for the morning and noon newscasts at KVII. I spent the next 3 years at the ABC affiliate, anchoring and feature reporting for new segments that aired during prime-time newscasts. One of which promoted Breast Cancer Awareness as I worked closely with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. During that time I was able to get experience as an executive producer and public speaker.
In October of 2012 I joined the NewsChannel 10 team as an Early Show anchor. The A-Team was then formed and our morning show continues to be the #1 rated morning show in the panhandle. Currently I report on weekly or monthly segments for the morning show such as 'The Doctors', 'Recall Roundup' and 'Dove Creek'.
I went to South Plains College and finished up at Texas Tech University majoring in Broadcast Journalism.
I grew up in Sundown, Texas where there was one blinking traffic light and I'm married to my high school sweetheart who is a teacher and coach for AISD. Rocky and I have 4 kids that keep us running from one sporting event to another and we wouldn't have it any other way. When I'm not covering news in the panhandle, I'm hanging out with my family, our Rottweiler puppy and cheering for my Texas Tech Red Raiders
Again, thanks for stopping by NewsChannel 10, the Most Watched News in the Panhandle!
