Amarillo cell phone ban has other TX cities talking

Texas - Amarillo's recent ban on hand held cell phones has other Texas cities considering a ban as well.

After the Amarillo City Commission approved the ordinance, Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson said within the next 12 months, Lubbock could consider a similar ban, or at least outlaw texting while driving.

In Texas, cell phone use contributed to 3,409 crashes in 2010, including 46 fatalities, according to the Texas Department of Transportation
