Harden murder trial delayed

Posted: Updated:

A Hemphill County man charged with first degree murder will not stand trial as soon as expected.

The trial of Travis Wayne Hardin had been scheduled for this Monday, September 24th.

However, 31st District Judge Steve Emmert issued an order granting a continuance.

A new trial date has not been set.

Hardin is accused of driving directly into Cynthia Hanshaw's car on Highway 60 last October, killing her.

At first, police believed the wreck was an accident.

After an investigation, they arrested Hardin and charged him with first degree felony murder.
