Clovis & Portales school enrollment down

Clovis, New Mexico - Student populations in the Clovis and Portales Municipal School districts have dropped.

Reports show both school districts have seen slightly fewer students in 2012 than in 2011. One school that did see an increase is the Clovis Christian Schools with five more students than last year.

Officials say the drop in enrollment is due to the local dairy closures and military families moving from Cannon Air Force Base.
