Amarillo, TX - Michael Paul Buse has plead guilty to manslaughter for the death of Daisy Strout.

Punishment for the crime will be 10 years probation, $5000 fine, and 120 days in jail.

The Potter County District Attorney's office says after speaking with Strout's family they reached a plea agreement.

The jail sentence includes serving one day on the anniversary of Strout's death for the next nine years.

In October of 2010, Buse was accused of running over his girlfriend Daisy Strout with a vehicle in the 1200 block of Georgia street in Amarillo.

Autopsy results showed 26 year old Daisy Strout died from blunt force injuries to her upper body.

When she was found dead in a local parking lot witnesses told investigators her fiance, 43 year old Michael Paul Buse was the last one to see her alive.

Buse was questioned by authorities soon after Strout's body was found and his 2003 Black Chevrolet Avalanche pick up was taken as evidence.

Just one day after authorities had the pick-up, Buse was asked to come back to The Special Crimes Unit to be questioned for a second time.

This time, he was booked into The Potter County Detention Center and charged with murder.

Investigators said it is believed Strout and Buse had a verbal argument before she got out of his truck and was run over.
