Clovis officer justified in shooting suspect to death

Clovis, New Mexico - The case of a Clovis police officer who shot and killed a suspect during a chase earlier this month has been determined as a justifiable homicide.
The 9th District Attorney's office released photos of the incident that took place August 19th. In these pictures, you can see the suspect waiting behind a wall to shoot the officer.
Records show 29 year old Benjamin Santiago fired twice at the officer, but both bullets in the revolver had already been fired.
The officer shot Santiago 3 times killing him. The New Mexico State Police and the 9th District Attorney's office say this incident was within department regulations.
