Tulia woman's murder remains unsolved

Posted: Updated:

Tulia, TX- The murder of an elderly Tulia woman remains unsolved after one year.

84-year-old Imogene Harris was found dead inside her Tulia home last August. Police say she died from blunt force trauma.

Police did say in October they were able to link Harris' murder to another crime in Hico, Texas and said they were looking for a slender white male in his twenties or thirties, but have yet to make any arrests in the case.

Harris' murder came as a shock to the town of Tulia and after we talked with residents Wednesday we learned it continues to leave some concerned.

"I don't worry about myself but I worry about the elderly people. I'm sure everything that can be done for it has been done," said Tulia resident, Karen Washington.

The Texas Rangers office in Lubbock says the case is still active at this time.

If you know anything about Harris' murder you are asked to call Swisher County Crime Stoppers at 995-4800.
