Clovis, NM - A New Mexico man convicted of stabbing another man to death will not face the additional charge of tampering with evidence.

20 year-old Luciano Guerra was arrested in March of 2010 for the stabbing death of Andrew Gama during a party at the Clovis Apartments near Charlotte Street.

Guerra was found guilty in February of last year and sentenced to life in prison.

The New Mexico Supreme Court recently overturned the tampering with evidence charge on grounds that the murder weapon was never recovered.
