Amarillo, TX - The primary run off election is just days away, with several elections yet to be determined in our area.
The race continues to fill retiring U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison's seat, between Ted Cruz and David Dewhurst.
The two went into a runoff after the primary in May, when Dewhurst only received 46-percent of the vote, with Cruz trailing behind at 33-percent.
Former State Representative Paul Sadler and retired teacher Grady Yarbrough are competing for the Democratic nomination for the seat.
Jim Landtroop and Ken King continue to battle it out for the District 88 seat for State Representative.
Another close election was the Railroad Commission seat, Christi Craddick took the majority of the vote back in May but didn't get enough to take the seat, she and Warren Chisum, former Representative from Pampa are the candidates for it.
Randall County has two races Tuesday, the Constable Precinct Four race between Bert Bytheway and Chris Johnson and the race for Commissioner Precinct One Christy Dyer and Kyle Black.
Two candidates also continue to fight for the Hutchinson County Sheriff's spot, Michael "Mickey" Blackmon and Don Johnson.
Carroll Gerber and Tom Taylor are also looking for votes to see who will take over as the Castro County Judge.
Polls for the runoff elections will be open until Tuesday at 7 P.M.
