Stratford Main Street revitalized

Stratford, TX - Stratford underwent a revitalization recently, that was years in the making.

After qualifying for an enhancement program through TxDOT Stratford's Main Street underwent a face lift, with a new brick road, Texas star and new light posts to light the way.

Gaynelle Riffe, a community volunteer who helped plan the project says she is excited about the look and hopes it attracts more visitors to Stratford.

"This is my town, this is where I live and I want it to look good. I'm into curb appeal. I want people when they come through Stratford to say this is really a neat looking town, I might like to live here," added Riffe.

The Main Street project has also helped with drainage from rain storms for the town.
