Local reaction to Colorado movie theater shooting

Thousands of area residents went out to movie theaters for the midnight premiere of the Dark Knight Rises.

Some area residents say they feel unsafe because the shooting could have happened at any theater and worried some may copy their actions locally.

But others say with all the exposure to similar events on TV all the time, they're sad to admit they're used to them occurring. They say it can happen anymore, and it's not going to prevent them from going to watch a late night movie.

Some mothers even say they wouldn't refrain from taking their children to a midnight showing. Other residents say tougher laws need to be in place.

The Regal Entertainment Group says they're sad about this tragedy, and will adjust security measures as necessary. The National Theater Owner's Association says they're revising their security as well.
