Amarillo, TX - The largest annual event in the Texas Panhandle will once again have fireworks.
City officials along with mayor Paul Harpole announced plans for this year's Fourth of July celebration.
The event at John Stiff park will include food vendors, children's rides, and music from local bands and the Amarillo Symphony.
The fireworks display will return to this year's line up.
Due to drought conditions last year, the fireworks show was canceled and replaced by a laser light show.
Mayor Harpole expects this year's celebration to be better than those in the past.
A new addition to the festivities is the kid's bike parade.
Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes in red, white, and blue.
