Many area students have no idea what career path they want to follow when they grow up. That's why the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation and the Amarillo Independent School District are once again hosting PRO Camp.
PRO camp, which stands for Pursuing Real Opportunities, allows area students entering 8th and 9th grade to discover fun careers in Amarillo they may not otherwise know exist. During the week-long camp, students will learn about exciting possibilities that await them by touring local businesses and hearing from experts in various fields.
PRO camp, which runs from June 18th to June 22nd, will be held at the WT Enterprise Center. Students will participate in various activities from 8 am until Noon each day, except on Friday the 22nd, when they will take part in a fun pizza party that ends at 1 pm.
The cost is $25 per camper and includes snacks, games, prizes, a camp T-shirt and the end-of-week party. Scholarships are available.
