Canadian, TX - One man is injured in a fiery explosion near a natural gas pipeline in Hemphill County.

The accident happened Friday morning about 11 miles east of Canadian.

The Hemphill County Sheriff's Office says a presser construction crew was working on a pipeline that had been shut off.

Some residual gas apparently got sucked into the running engine of a track hoe, which ignited.

The track hoe operator suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a hospital.

Firefighters monitored the blaze, which burned itself out.

This comes a little more than a month after another explosion in Hemphill County.

That one happened at the Eagle Rock gas plant at the end
