Firm hiring lawyers for only $10,000 a year

Boston, MA - A Boston legal firm recently posted a job for new, full-time associates that's expected to pay $10,000 a year.

And while that may come out to be less than minimum wage, the firm Gilbert & O'Bryan LLP, says 32 people have applied so far.

They say the main draw for the position is the chance for new associates to immediately have their own case load where they can start gaining experience and building a career.

The job was posted on Boston College's Law School site, and the college says they posted it despite the low salary because, "in this challenging legal environment, we feel that it's better to post any opportunity."

Tuition for law students at the school is $44,000 dollars a year.
