Amarillo police need your help solving an unsolved murder

Amarillo, TX - An unsolved murder in Amarillo has police continuing their search for answers, on the one year anniversary of the death.

One year ago Tuesday, Dagoberto Blanco was found stabbed to death in his driveway at his North Amarillo home.

Amarillo police have followed a few leads since the murder but say they haven't had any luck with finding a suspect.

Police say they have interviewed family and friends of Blanco but are still looking for anyone who may know what led up to his death and who is responsible.

"We don't have enough information to branch out and find out who is responsible for this. So we are really hoping that maybe by talking about it again on the one year anniversary maybe it will elicit some response from somebody, the folks in Amarillo who may know something about this homicide and we would surely love to talk with anybody who has that information for us so we can get this thing solved," said Lt. Erick Bohannon with the Special Crimes Unit.

If you have any information about who may be involved in Blanco's death, you are urged to call the Special Crimes Unit at 378-9468 or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
