Amarillo, TX - The man accused of causing an emergency landing last October in Amarillo made his final court appearance Friday.

Ali Shahsavari is released from federal custody after conditions of release were announced in a federal court room Friday morning.

Shahsavari was found not guilty by reason of insanity in April for interfering with a flight crew last year.

After an investigation it was determined Shahsavari was off of his medications prescribed to help with a mental disorder, at the time of the incident.

Part of his conditions of release include, having to take his prescribed medication, being under the supervision of a U.S. probation officer, receiving permission before being allowed to fly and not being able to communicate with anyone who may have been on the flight, other than his sister.
