Update: Drug bust on I40 leaves area women behind bars

Amarillo, TX - Nearly $350,000 worth of marijuana is off the streets after a drug bust on I40.

Kandy Sellers Lopez was traveling through the area from New Mexico and was stopped on I-40 eastbound between Western and Georgia Saturday evening.

Authorities were given permission to search her vehicle, that's when they found around 275 pounds of marijuana.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked into the Potter County Jail.
