Pampa house fire leaves one dead and one with injuries

Pampa, TX - A house fire in Pampa kills a woman and leaves a man with second degree burns.

The Pampa Fire Department says a house caught fire around one in the morning in the 600 block of Doucette Street.

When firefighters arrived they say the house was fully engulfed.

Linda Abbott was pronounced dead at the scene.

Grady Rose suffered smoke inhalation and second degree burns.

Fire Chief Kim Powell says Rose was transported to Lubbock's burn unit and is currently in stable condition.

The Texas state fire marshal's office is helping the Pampa Fire Department determine the cause of the fire.
