Amarillo, TX - Wounded warriors who fought during the war on terrorism are arriving in Amarillo Wednesday.
Dozens waited at Rick Husband International Airport for their arrival.
The military personnel will be participating in the Warrior 100K mountain bike ride at Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
For the second year, former President George W. Bush will ride alongside men and women from across the country who were injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
All twenty of the service members served under the former president.
"The reality of the matter is that he was my boss for a long time. It's just so comforting to know that when I was in Iraq, I had a boss that really supported me and that was one hundred percent behind me. Then when I finally got to see him and see that conveyed personally, it was just awesome. I look forward to doing it again," says Sgt. Bryce Cole, USA retired from Houston, TX
The participants were selected for their excellent service and active involvement with military support organizations.
The bike ride will start Thursday, April 26th and run through Saturday, April 28th.
