Pilot files paperwork to use insanity as defense

Amarillo, TX- The pilot accused of interfering with a flight crew will be going with an insanity defense.

Captain Clayton Osbon and his attorney's filed paperwork with the U.S. attorney's office saying they are claiming he was insane at the time of the crime.

Officials say he was acting erratically on a JetBlue flight that made an emergency landing in Amarillo last month.

Osbon was indicted last week by a federal grand jury for the charge.
