Police seek suspect in Walmart bank branch robbery

Amarillo, TX - Amarillo Police tell us a robbery occurred Saturday afternoon at the Walmart on Grand Street.

It happened around 4:00 Saturday afternoon.  Police were called out to the Woodforest National Bank inside Walmart.

Employees report the suspect waited in line, and when it was his turn he produced a note.  He then reportedly implied he had a weapon and demanded money.

Police say the suspect fled from the scene with cash in hand.

The suspect is being described as a white male, in his 20s or 30s and 180 pounds.
