Police investigate stabbing in east Amarillo

Amarillo, TX - Police continue to investigate an early morning stabbing in east Amarillo.

Officers were sent to the 2100 block of Apache on a fight possibly involving weapons around 1:00 Thursday morning.

Around the same time officers were called to a local hospital where a man had several stab wounds.

The 18-year-old male was stabbed in the Apache neighborhood but police say he then had friends take him to the hospital.

Amarillo police say the man was stabbed around twenty times and has undergone surgery.

Around 5:00 Thursday morning, a man came to the police station saying he had been robbed at gun point. Police say they found the keys to his car on the 18-year old stabbing victim who had been taken to the hospital.

The man, Jordan Bustoz who claims to have been robbed has been arrested for delivery of marijuana, along with a minor.

At this time police say they are still actively investigating the stabbing.
