Low accident count at Canadian River Mud Bogs

Amarillo, TX - A weekend full of fun at the Canadian River has been, so far, safe for all the attendees of the Canadian River Mud Bogs.

Only a handful of minor bumps and bruises have been reported. Park Rangers tell News Channel 10 they have several Rangers out, and Potter County Deputies have been out all weekend to make sure folks are safe.

"This is our hobby. This is our passion, you know, our past-time," Amarillo resident Jody Reeve said.  "We come down here, our group of people, all the time. Not just this weekend, but all the time."

A low turn-out this year is responsible for the low number of accidents, according to the Rangers. The event is held every year at the river on 287 north of Amarillo.
