Amarillo, TX - Two Amarillo residents are arrested for drug charges and one of them is an Amarillo teacher.

Amarillo police say they made the arrests during a traffic stop after the two made drug deliveries to an undercover officer.

Joshua Glover was arrested for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and Patricia Coone, an Amarillo ISD teacher was arrested on one count.

Police say the drug they were delivering was Ecstasy.

"We had an unmarked unit that was in the area, we see the vehicle, and he calls for a marked vehicle to make the traffic stop, knowing who the occupants, or who the occupants were wanted and they were stopped, taken out of the car, arrested and brought down here to the police department," said Corporal Jerry Neufeld with the Amarillo Police Department.

We spoke with the Amarillo school district about Coone's arrest and they say: "AISD has been notified that one of our employees has been arrested. We are concerned to learn of the allegation and will cooperate with investigators as needed. Authorities have told us at this time their investigation leads them to believe the alleged behavior took place outside of the work day and was not school-related. Because of the privacy laws related to personnel matters, the district cannot release additional information."
