Amarillo Blvd traffic accident kills area man

Amarillo, TX - The name of the area man who died in a traffic accident early Saturday morning has been released.

Police say 32-year old Frank Julian Zamora was headed west bound on Amarillo Boulevard East in a Chevy pickup.

Zamora approached a red light at the intersection of the Boulevard and North Eastern.

A semi was stopped in the same lane.

Police say when the light turned green, the pickup struck the semi from behind.

An autopsy has been ordered and authorities say speed was a factor.
