Amarillo, TX- Two men are indicted by the Randall County Grand Jury in connection to an Amarillo man's death.

Clay Petersen was found dead in a north Amarillo ditch nearly three months ago, now investigators are saying that is not where he died.

William Doan and Phillip Schindler were indicted by the Randall County Grand Jury Wednesday for tampering with evidence.

The Randall County District Attorney's office says Doan and Schindler were indicted because they believe the two men moved the body of 37-year-old Petersen from a home on Princeton Street to a ditch on Smelter Road.

"We gathered information with the Special Crimes Unit that we believe indicated that a homicide had occurred at that location and two of the people that we believe were suspects in the case were Mr. Schindler and Mr. Doan," said James Farren.

An arrest for Petersen's murder has not been made, but the Special Crimes Unit and district attorney's office say they are still actively investigating.
