Educating our local students is a good reason to run up 31 flights of stairs at the downtown Chase building.

Hundreds of runners participated in the first annual tower run runners started in the Chase building parking garage and ended up on the 31st floor.

There they had brunch at the Amarillo Club.

Runners ran in groups in the tower's stair wells.

The run is the first of it's kind in Amarillo.

The tower run is in conjunction with the Brandi Lee Leard Memorial Scholarship run in June.

The group is wanting to send a local student every year to college on a full ride.

Brandi Lee passed away when she was 2 and a half after a heart surgery.
