Missing Cotton County woman found dead

DEVOL, Okla. – The Cotton County Sheriff's Office says Teresa Speir has been found dead near Devol.

Her body was found around 3:30 p.m. by sheriff's deputies, 100 yards west of David Daniel's property in heavy brush.  Speir's body showed signs of blunt force trauma to the head.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is treating the case as a homicide.  The state medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

According to the Cotton County Sheriff's Office, a blood sample found on one of his coats tested positive for Speir's DNA

Daniels' property is located two miles south of Devol on county road 2460.  He was arrested Thursday morning for a warrant out of Tillman County.
